Those mega conferences of 20 schools are pure junk, IMO.


I know it's a brave new world out there, but there must be some natural order to a conference.

Right now, with only 14 teams, the ACC is is equivalence of 2 different conferences. Since VT only plays a team from the Atlantic "division" one in a blue moon how does that make them conference mates?

In reality, the ACC is made up of 2 conferences, Atlantic and Coastal, who have an agreement to play each other for the right to play in the Orange Bowl each year.

I can't wait until the amalgamation known as the ACC picks up 6 more teams and goes to a nice round mega conference of 20.

May as well go back to the 1920's and 30's when the old Southern Conference included all the teams of the old ACC and SEC plus some others as well.
